What is IBM Business Automation Workflow?

IBM Business Automation Workflow combines business process management and case management capabilities in one workflow solution. It unites information, process, and users to provide a 360 degree view of work.

IBM BAW is the product that has replaced IBM Case Manager. It includes; case features, to create, test, manage, deploy, and work with your business solutions created in previous Case Manager versions.

Version 19.0.0.1 of BAW is the minimum required version required if you want to upgrade from Case Manager. Always use the latest BAW release when upgrading from Case Manager.

Note: IBM Case Manager end of support (EoS) is 30 April, 2021.

Licensing Concerns

Case Manager customers need to trade up to BAW licenses through the project office. You can contact your IBM account team for additional details. When integrates with an external Content Platform Engine (CPE) or external Content Navigator (ICN) server, then their licenses are maintained separately.

Support Process

After upgrading to this, you can open support cases against the Business Automation Workflow product, and specify the Case Manager component.
