Application Server 8.5.5.x<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution:<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you plan to run Content Platform Engine (CPE) and Content Navigator (ICN) in separate WebSphere Application Server profiles but on the same physical server, you must add a custom Java property to both WebSphere Application Server instances or profiles where CPE and ICN are deployed to resolve <strong>the repository is not available<\/strong> error. Perform the following steps:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Open the administrative console of the WebSphere Application Server instance on which Content Platform Engine is deployed.<\/li>\r\n<li>Expand Application servers and click the server name on which Content Platform Engine runs. The default server name is <strong>Server1<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Expand<strong> Java and process management<\/strong> and click <strong>Process definition<\/strong> &gt;<strong> Java virtual machine<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Custom properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Click <strong>New<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Enter the name of property <strong>com.ibm.websphere.orb.uniqueServerName<\/strong> and set its value to <strong>true<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Save your settings and restart the application server.<\/li>\r\n<li>Repeat the entire procedure for the WebSphere Application Server on which IBM Content Navigator is deployed.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once done, try to create a new repository in IBM Content Navigator admin desktop.
