I&#8217;ve applied this new release with IBM Case Manager (ICM) 5.3.3.0. After successful upgrade and deploy ICN 3.0.6 there was a new problem occurred while preview documents in IBM Case Manager Client desktop which is elaborated here:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"777\" height=\"425\" class=\"wp-image-328 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-preview.png\" alt=\"ibm-icn-preview\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-preview.png 777w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-preview-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-preview-768x420.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 777px) 100vw, 777px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>By default when we click on any document in ICM, its thumbnails \/ preview automatically generated according to its mime type. But in this case, it doesn&#8217;t work and only document type was mentioned instead of preview document. Below is the error screenshot:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1019\" height=\"329\" class=\"wp-image-327 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-problem.png\" alt=\"ibm-software-compatibility-matrix\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-problem.png 1019w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-problem-300x97.png 300w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-problem-768x248.png 768w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/ibm-icn-problem-940x303.png 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1019px) 100vw, 1019px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/support\/knowledgecenter\/en\/SSNW2F_5.1.0\/com.ibm.installingeuc.doc\/CIWEB1059.htm\">CIWEB1059<\/a><\/p>\r\n<cite>CIWEB1059: The document cannot be converted into a viewable format. <br \/>The document might have been deleted, the repository server <br \/>might not be running, or the viewer cannot convert the selected document.<br \/>Close the viewer, refresh the list of documents, and try to open the document again. <br \/>If the problem persists, contact your system administrator with the following information: <br \/>java.io.IOException: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: <br \/>com.ibm.mm.viewer.CMBDocumentEngineException: <br \/>Document was not recognized as a supported format. <\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I&#8217;ve also tried these two tech notes but didn&#8217;t work in my case.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=swg21992118\">https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=swg21992118<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=swg21999391\">https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=swg21999391<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>But no luck. After talk to IBM Rep, identified that <strong>ICN 3.0.6 is yet not supported with ICM 5.3.3.x<\/strong> version but its upcoming ICN FP 3.0.6.x will be supported with ICM.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One can also confirm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/software\/reports\/compatibility\/clarity-reports\/report\/html\/prereqTabViewDetails?osPlatform=spcrAllValues&amp;\">ibm software compatibility report<\/a> as well.
