The procedure is required if the System User account does NOT change but the password will change. If both the user account and password are changed at the same time, no special process is required in IBM CPE 5.5.1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change System User Password IBM CPE 5.5.1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>With the CPE running, change the current System User&#8217;s password in the LDAP to the desired new value. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"701\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ldap_server_windows.png\" alt=\"ldap_server_windows\" class=\"wp-image-281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ldap_server_windows.png 701w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ldap_server_windows-300x199.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> In Case Your system user is also admin user and bind in WAS CPE or ICN\/ICM JVM profile and you have to perform additional changes in WAS Console. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure to Change Password:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Before Changing password in LDAP, open WAS Console, go to global security settings, federated repositories, AD tab tab like this:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/websphere_console_global_security-1024x768.png\" alt=\"websphere_console_global_security\" class=\"wp-image-282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/websphere_console_global_security.png 1024w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/websphere_console_global_security-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/websphere_console_global_security-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/iparagons.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/websphere_console_global_security-940x705.png 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log onto ACCE using a domain admin account. For example, navigate to ACCE to the  Workflow system down to the configuration of a component queue. If this  is possible, the PE service is able to utilize the System User as  expected. Even you just don&#8217;t need to restart CPE enable WAS JVM. But for safe side, you can restart IBM FileNet P8 services. You also need to verify Content Platform Engine (CPE) Health page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you want to change both user and password following steps will be performed: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create a new user in LDAP. <\/li><li>Logon to ACCE, with the previous user name and password. <\/li><li>Go to domain properties tab. <\/li><li>Retype New user name in any case (lower, uper or mix letter). <\/li><li>Retype its newly user&#8217;s modified password. <\/li><li>Save and close. <\/li><li>Verify system functionalities completely. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remember: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><mark>In IBM CPE 5.5.1, bootstrap user complexity has been removed and its now works as system user instead of bootstrap user.<\/mark> <mark>Once you updated to version 5.5.1, it&#8217;s no more longer associated to GCD and JNDI bindings.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details go to following tech notes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=ibm10737163\">https:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?uid=ibm10737163<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/support\/knowledgecenter\/en\/SSNW2F_5.5.0\/com.ibm.p8.security.doc\/p8psh017.htm\">https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/support\/knowledgecenter\/en\/SSNW2F_5.5.0\/com.ibm.p8.security.doc\/p8psh017.htm<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In IBM CPE 5.5.1, users can change the password of the System User via Administration Console for Content Platform Engine (ACCE).
